I saw a little bit of NM at 10K but this an eye opener to how how good they really are!

Don't know why I've never stumbled across these guys whilst looking for something new here. New Monsoon is another amazing, impossible to pidgeon-hole kind of band. I'd put them up near the top of my Archive "finds" next to the Horseflies, Stellar Road and Tea Leaf Green. Like all the reviews before this one, I can't say enough good things about these guys. Quality is top notch with just enough crowd noise thrown in the mix. Download this show and you'll be listening for a long time to come.........Cisco Kid>Tusk would have been awesome too.

Subject: FEARLESS!
Thought I'd check out a new band...
I was COMPLETELY unprepared for just how awesome this outfit is!
New Monsoon is the future folks.
Best new band I've heard in years.
Check out Sweet Brandywine, Daddy Longlegs, Velvet Pouch, Bongo Bong, Bridge of the Gods, and EVERYTHING in between (especially Floyd cover Fearless).
WOW!!!!!!!!

This has to be one of my most listened to recordings that I have received from the LMA. This was my first time listening to NM, but two years later, this show still stands a cut above anything else I have heard.

The band seems daunting at first with so many different instrumental "voices", but they all come together really well. The Cisco Kid -> Vickassippi is stunning and all of disc 2 is pure hotness.

I would give the recording a 5 (SBD, duh), jams a 4, song selection/seguing a 5, and band enthusiasim a 5. If you start anywhere with NM, I recommend this show as one of the first you should hear.

This is worth the download. Great setlist, crispy sound, good mix, great energy, etc. It is a treat to get to hear Arne rom SKB play with these guys. I was bummed because I am in Denver but had to miss this show due to work, arrgg! Great listening and good representation of what these guys can really do live. If you haven't yet, go see these guys ASAP. They are gonna keep getting bigger and bigger.

Just caught these guys in Ft. Lauderdale last Saturday night by accident. To say they were on fire would be a misrepresentation. This show almost a year ago to the day reconfirms what I saw was no fluke. The recording is near perfect.

Shout out to 954, 305, and 702. New Monsoon Rules.

Subject: Where the hell have I been?
So there I was, casually surfing through the archive, when I decided to just pick a band I've never heard before. Holy Smokes!!! What a choice. This is my first time hearing New Monsoon, and it won't be my last. These guys are unbelievable. Their sound alone hit me like a ton of bricks; so much force and so much energy. As far as the sound quality is concerned, 5 stars without a doubt. Big THANKS to all of those responsible for introducing me to this great band.

Perfect. No other word would say it better for me. The first time i downloaded a new monsoon show i was skeptical because i was just looking for a new random band to listen to. Finding out what they sounded like was like finding a golden nug and i will be back for a LOT more.
Keep em coming archive!! PEACE

New Monsoon puts on a great show! Audio quality is very good. If you like the Dead, String Cheese, Phish, check them out.

Subject: What a difference a year makes...
Wow. Only a year before, I saw New Monsoon play to a small audience post-Cheese at small Denver bar called Quiotes. And here I am a year later, seeing the same band playing to an almost capacity crowd at a venue 10 times the size. To say the vibe at this show was excellent would be an understatement. From start to finish this show is hot. I have yet to hear it again, but I don't have to. Download this show!
